In Stora Enso Biomaterials, our innovation effort is structured around four distinctive innovation clusters
. One of these clusters aims at developing our pulp offering by enhancing product features but also optimizing current business practices.

We want to build on that and improve our customer offering in pulp by increased focus and resources on pulp innovations. Pulp innovations include not only break-through solutions, but also any improvements which facilitates the value addition shared with our customers.” says Kimmo Ruohoniemi, Director of Stora Enso’s Pulp Competence Centre.
“Together with multiple functions in our organization, we have started working on our customer journey. This creates a continuous dialog with the customers and enables us to identify the main needs and opportunities for product improvements. Additionally, we will enforce our resources in selected pulp application areas and utilize the established capabilities in the new Innovation Centre in Stockholm, Sweden. By doing this all we believe we will win together with our customers and deliver excellent pulp products with new innovative features for the benefit of us all.”
